KSP investigating after man dies in Breathitt County mining equipment accident
A man has died after a mining accident in Breathitt County, according to Kentucky State Police.
Dale Cassel Jr., 41, of Glen Morgan, W.Va., died after he lost control of a piece of mining equipment he was operating, according to state police. The vehicle went over an embankment and ejected Cassel, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident happened at a surface mine in the Saldee community.
Kentucky State Police continue to investigate.
