Is it her outfit? Video shows woman making a pal at Cincinnati Zoo penguin exhibit
A woman who wore black and white to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden made an unexpected friend.
One of the zoo’s African penguins appeared to take great interest in her.
In a viral video shared by Izzy Meltzer on Twitter Thursday afternoon, the penguin can be seen following Meltzer as she runs back and forth in front of its enclosure.
“This made my day!!” Meltzer commented when she shared the video to her Twitter page. She said she wondered if her “penguin-like resemblance” — wearing black pants and top with a white vest and shoes — might have piqued the bird’s interest.
The video, which was also retweeted by the zoo with the comment “BFFs!”, had been viewed more than 70,000 times by Friday afternoon.
Meltzer wasn’t the only one getting a kick out of the penguins at the zoo this week. On Friday, the zoo shared a video to its Facebook page that showed Tom the cheetah visiting the penguin exhibit while out for a morning walk. Tom can be heard making a purring sound near the end of the video as he watches the penguins swim.
