Train collides with car in Eastern Kentucky, driver sent to the hospital.

Kentucky State Police are investigating an accident that involved a train and a vehicle in Floyd County Monday.

The accident happened just after 11:15 a.m. in the Dwale community of Floyd County, state police said. Trooper Michael Coleman said the driver of the car, who was the only person in the vehicle at the time, was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

State police didn’t release any details about what led to the crash. Coleman said the train tracks were shut down for a few hours while officials removed the car and investigated the scene.
