Teenager in southern Kentucky killed after being hit by train

A teenager in Laurel County was killed early Thursday morning after being hit by a train, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Details about the southern Kentucky accident are sparse, but the sheriff’s office did say the victim was a 16-year-old boy. The accident took place on the tracks off Robinson Creek Road, seven miles south of London.

On Wednesday a man from Barren County was killed in a train accident. Kentucky State Police said Timothy Duvall, 33, was driving a 2014 Mack dump truck when he entered a railroad crossing and failed to see a CSX train that was heading through the railroad crossing.

On Friday morning in Lexington, a man was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a train following an assault.
