Do you qualify to possess medical marijuana in Kentucky? Take our quiz to find out

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear on Tuesday issued two executive orders to allow medical marijuana possession in certain cases.

Beshear’s first order will allow Kentuckians, as of Jan. 1, to possess up to eight ounces of medical marijuana if it’s purchased legally in a part of the United States that allows it, which presently includes 37 states and the District of Columbia.

In the commonwealth — where polling touted by Beshear suggests 90% of adults support legalizing medical cannabis — it’s illegal for recreational use, though non-psychoactive CBD is legal in the state. Up until Tuesday’s executive order, all possession for medicinal uses was also illegal in the state.

There are four main conditions laid out in the executive order which outlines who qualifies to possess medical marijuana.
