A woman from Dry Ridge in Grant County who wishes to remain anonymous hit it big playing the scratch-off and won $1 million recently.

“Is that $1,000? No wait, that’s $1 million,” the woman said, recalling her reaction to scratching off her ticket, revealing the winning symbols that made her a millionaire.

The woman bought her winning ticket out of a vending machine at the Crittenden Fast Lane earlier in November. After discovering she’d won $30 playing the Jackpot Fortune, she went back in to the store to cash-in her ticket and bought a $50 ticket.

That was the ticket that had the winning 500x multiplier, which took her $1,500 prize to $750,000. Right next to that same square, the woman scratched-off another win. She revealing a 100x multiplier for her $2,500 prize. All together, she’d won $1 million.

“I was in shock. I couldn’t sleep,” the woman told lottery officials.

The next day, the woman drove to Kentucky Lottery headquarters in Louisville, a requirement for winners to cash-in on their prizes. After taxes, she walked away with a $710,000 check.

The woman plans to pay off her auto loan and purchase land with her earnings.

The gas station in Crittenden that sold the winning ticket will also get a $10,000 bonus.
