Remains found in Boyle County earlier this month have been identified

Human remains found in a field in Boyle County have been identified as a 49-year-old woman from Perryville.

Kentucky State Police said the skeletal remains found off Craintown Road Jan. 20 were identified by the state medical examiner’s office as those of Anna M. Cummins.

State police asked that anyone with information related to the investigation call Post 7 in Richmond at 859-623-2404.

State police did not immediately provide information about when Cummins might have died or whether foul play was thought to be involved.

After the remains were found, there was speculation about whether they might have belonged to another missing woman, Andrea Knabel, who has been missing since August 2019.
