Chick-fil-A is trying out a new entree, and customers in one Kentucky city will get a first taste.

The maple pepper bacon sandwich will launch Monday, June 12, at select restaurants in Lexington for a limited time, the national chicken chain announced.

The new entree will also be tested in Indianapolis, the restaurant said.

A smoky twist on the classic grilled chicken sandwich, the new offering features a lemon herb grilled chicken filet topped with pepper jack cheese, lettuce and bacon tossed in a blend of pepper and brown sugar, according to a product description.

It also comes on a maple-flavored brioche bun.

Pricing information wasn’t available.

The maple pepper chicken sandwich is just the latest addition at Chick-fil-A and will rejoin returning favorites, including the popular peach milkshake.

The Atlanta-based chicken chain also announced the return of the spicy chicken biscuit — for good.

The breakfast staple was offered only at select locations but will be available at Chick-fil-A restaurants nationwide on June 12.
