A Powerball ticket worth $1M was sold in Kentucky. Here are Saturday’s winning numbers
Kentucky has two new big Powerball winners following Saturday’s drawing, according to a Monday Kentucky Lottery press release.
The winning numbers in the July 29 drawing were white balls 10, 25, 27, 34, 38 and red Powerball 2, according to the official game website.
In a release Monday, Kentucky Lottery said a Burlington resident won $1 million after her Powerball ticket matched the first five numbers, but not the Powerball. The odds of winning the $1 million prize are 1 in 11.6 million, according to Kentucky Lottery’s website.
Athens Foodmart in Lexington also sold a ticket matching four white balls and the Powerball, which brought the player to $50,000 in winnings. The winnings were tripled to $150,000 because the player purchased the Power Play multiplier.
The retailer will get a prize of $1,500 for selling the winning ticket.
The most recent wins come on the tails of one of the biggest Powerball jackpots in history. Earlier this month a California player won $1 billion on a run that also produced several big winners in Kentucky and other states. Lottery officials told the Herald-Leader Kentuckians had purchased more than 4 million tickets during the run as it approached its peak.
Powerball’s current estimated jackpot is $74 million, with the chances of winning the top prize 1 in more than 292 million. Drawings occur each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
