Two people were killed in a crash in Lee County after a truck went over an embankment Saturday, according to Kentucky State Police.

KSP received a report of a single-vehicle crash with possible entrapment on KY-52 west in Lee County Saturday night.

KSP said an initial investigation indicated 39-year-old Joshua Reed, of Versailles, was driving a 2006 Ford F-150 on KY-52 when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to go over a steep embankment and overturn.

Both Reed and a passenger, 61-year-old Charles Dennis, died. Dennis was from Beattyville.

The ongoing investigation was being conducted by Trooper Robert Baker. He was assisted on scene by KSP Post 7 personnel, the Lee County Fire Department, Lee County EMS, and the Lee County Coroners Office.
