Updated: Woman killed after she was hit by a tractor-trailer on a KY interstate, coroner says

A 29-year-old woman was killed Monday morning after she was hit by a tractor-trailer on the interstate in Rowan County, according to the Rowan County Coroner’s Office.

The collision happened at about 4:43 a.m. on I-64 eastbound just before the Morehead exit, the coroner’s office said. The interstate was shut down while officials investigated the scene, but it has since reopened.

The coroner’s office later identified the victim as 29-year-old Linda Reid, of Hazard.

The collision was being investigated by Kentucky State Police. The Rowan County Sheriff’s Department, Morehead Police Department, Rowan County EMS and the State Highway Department also assisted on scene.
