Updated: Coroner’s office identified dead body found in Kentucky’s Cumberland Lake

A body was found in Lake Cumberland in Pulaski County Wednesday, according to the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources.

The body was pulled out of the water around 6:25 p.m., said Lisa Johnson with the department of fish and wildlife. The body was found by a fisherman at the Fishing Creek Recreation Area ramp on Lake Cumberland.

The Pulaski County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Robert Lee, 28, of Somerset. A cause and manner of Lee’s death is still unknown.

It’s unknown how long the man had been in the water before he was discovered.

The Pulaski County Coroner’s Office said the body will undergo an autopsy. Kentucky Fish and Wildlife will lead the investigation.
