Kentucky man killed in Harlan County shooting with state police

A Kentucky man was killed in a shooting Saturday, according to state police.

The shooting happened around 10:14 p.m. in Harlan County. Kentucky State Police said a man was shot and killed inside a Teetersville home.

The Harlan County Coroner pronounced the victim dead on scene, according to KSP. No other injuries were reported.

No other details about the shooting were released. KSP’s Critical Incident Response Team is investigating the shooting after witnesses are interviewed and pertinent facts are gathered, the agency said.

“Timelines to complete investigations vary based on the complexity of the case,” KSP said in a press release about the shooting.
