Kentucky teens accused of intentionally hitting geese with trucks, killing two
Two Kentucky teens accused of intentionally driving pickup trucks into a flock of geese in a parking lot have been charged with cruelty to animals.
Dalton Noe and Bricen Brock, both 18, are also charged with illegal taking of a migratory bird, according to court records.
The incident happened Aug. 19 at the Village Center Mall in Harlan, according to citations.
An officer with the Kentucky Division of Fish and Wildlife said the investigation showed Noe ran through a flock of Canada geese in his pickup truck, followed by Brock.
The trucks hit two geese, leaving them injured and unable to fly away, according to the citation.
The agency said in a Facebook post that one goose died in the parking lot.
Officers took the other to a rehabilitation facility in Hazard, but it had to be euthanized because of its injuries.
Noe and Brock are scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 9.
