Have a story about recent hurricanes that hit the South? We want to hear it.
A pair of hurricanes ripped through much of the American South in recent weeks.
The first, Helene, made landfall Sept. 27. It left more than 230 people dead and caused an estimated $38 billion in damage. Western North Carolina was hit especially hard, though much of the South saw damages and deaths.
Milton made landfall overnight Thursday near Tampa Bay, but the director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency said Thursday morning the state had avoided the “worst-case scenario.” Four people had been confirmed dead in St. Lucie County as of Thursday morning.
We are looking for stories of Kentucky residents who have connections to either of these recent hurricanes. Whether you were visiting, helping provide aid, or checking in with family, we want to hear from you.
