NBC’s ‘Today show’ is filming in this Kentucky town to honor the ‘Merriest Main Street’
A Kentucky town’s merry Main Street will be featured in a live segment of NBC’s ‘Today Show’ Friday morning.
Bardstown will appear on the show’s final episode of “Merriest Main Street,” a holiday series that highlights festive downtowns across the U.S.
Bardstown tourism officials called the opportunity an “incredible” way to showcase their town as a charming holiday destination.
“This is a moment of immense pride for our community,” Stacey Phelps, president of Bardstown Tourism said in a news release. “Let’s come together to celebrate Bardstown’s holiday spirit and create a vibrant, unforgettable moment for the TODAY show audience.”
The live broadcast of the Bardstown segment will air live at 8:25 a.m. Friday, and is being filmed in Court Square. People can participate in filming by coming to the town square at 7:30 a.m.
The ‘Today Show’ is a daily live broadcast that’s been a staple of NBC’s morning programming for more than 70 years. The four-hour program features several renown TV hosts, including Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie, Jenna Bush Hager and Al Roker.
