Someone in Jessamine County bought a Powerball ticket worth $50K. Where it was sold

If you recently purchased a Powerball ticket at a Kroger in Jessamine County, you may want to check your pockets.

According to the Kentucky Lottery, a winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 sold at the Harrodsburg Road Kroger in Nicholasville during the game’s Feb. 5 drawing. The Kroger is located at 170 Bellerive Blvd.

A Thursday Kentucky Lottery news release lists the winning numbers from that drawing as 19, 27, 30, 50, 62 and Powerball 14. The ticket matched four white ball numbers and the red Powerball, meaning it won the game’s third-place prize.

The Kentucky Lottery advises winners to sign the backs of their winning tickets, keep them in a safe place and claim their prize within 180 days of the drawing date.

For large prizes such as this, winners must claim their prize in person at Kentucky Lottery headquarters in Louisville, located at 1011 West Main St. Contact the lottery at 1-877-789-4532 to make an appointment.

No one won the Powerball jackpot Wednesday. It’s currently estimated at $133 million, with the next drawing set to take place at 11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8.

At the end of January, Kentucky Lottery reported a Lucky for Life ticket worth $25,000 a year had been sold at a Danville gas station. At the time the lottery announced it, that ticket was also unclaimed.
