A sassy kitten is ready for a home after a Kentucky shelter managed to save him from a rocky situation.

Meet Ridge, a 2-month-old kitten with big eyes and an even bigger heart. While he’s perfectly safe and sound now, he wasn’t so during the early stages of life.

“This brave little brown tabby kitten has quite the origin story. Ridge was found on the Brighton Trail near the interstate… wrapped in plastic,” the Lexington Humane Society said in a June 18 Facebook post.

“Don’t worry, though— he emerged unscathed, a little shaken, but clearly destined for greatness. (And possibly a superhero origin movie?)”

Along with his expressive face, Ridge has a playful personality to boot, making him the entire package.

“Despite his difficult start, Ridge is the purrfect combination of cuddly and curious. And he’s got screaming and staring off into the abyss down pat. But like, in an endearing way,” the shelter said.

The Humane Society even included a photo of the little guy giving a big stretch while yawning, increasing his cute factor to at least 1,000 percent.

For more information on Ridge, visit the shelter’s website.
