A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 sold in Kentucky. Could it be yours?
The Powerball drawing held June 28 failed to produce a jackpot winner, but a winning ticket worth $50,000 sold at a gas station in one eastern Kentucky city.
The winning ticket matched four white ball numbers and the red Powerball, meaning its owner scored the game’s third-place prize. Jackpot winners must match all five white balls and the Powerball, a feat that’s attached to odds of 1 in 292,201,338, according to Powerball.
According to a Kentucky Lottery news release Monday, the winning ticket was sold at a Shell station in London located at 201 West Daniel Boone Parkway.
Saturday night’s winning Powerball numbers are 4, 35, 43, 52 and 62, with a Powerball of 12.
If that’s your ticket, the Kentucky Lottery advises winners to do the following:
Sign the back of your ticket.
Store it in a secure location.
Claim your prize within 180 days from the date of the drawing.
Next, you’ll need to make the trip to Louisville to claim your prize in person, a requirement for the larger lottery wins. The Kentucky Lottery’s headquarters is located at 1011 West Main St. in downtown Louisville.
Winners should first call the lottery at 1-877-789-4532 to make an appointment.
The current Powerball jackpot is estimated at $162 million, and the next drawing is Monday, June 30. Drawings are held at 11 p.m. EDT and live-streamed on the Powerball’s website.
