One week after his wedding, a man died in a head-on crash that also killed his 1-year-old daughter, Kentucky authorities say.

Kentucky State Police said the driver of a Ford F-150 was traveling southbound on Kentucky Route 261 in Breckinridge County on July 26 when he crossed the center line for unknown reasons. He then struck a Chevrolet Silverado, causing both trucks to engulf in flames.

The F-150 driver, 48-year-old Joseph Maynard, of Owensboro, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to state police.

Troopers also said the Silverado driver and a 1-year-old passenger were found dead. The driver was identified by state police as Hunter Lyons, 22.

A second passenger, Lyons’ newlywed wife, Macey Lyons, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to state police. Loved ones said she was burned in the fire.

“She’s experiencing a living nightmare and the ultimate pain,” Kayla Vanover VanMeter said in a Facebook post.

The crash came exactly one week after Hunter and Macey Lyons’ wedding.

A loved one said they were driving home from their honeymoon in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, when they were involved in the crash.
