A woman accused of stalking her former mother-in-law tried to provoke a serious allergic reaction by exposing her to bell peppers, Kentucky authorities say.

According to a July 29 citation, Tiffany Gregory picked up two children July 7 and told them she needed to run an errand before taking them to a zoo.

The 34-year-old woman asked the children, whose relationships to her were undisclosed, to stomp on bell peppers and put the crushed pieces into a birthday bag, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.

She asked the kids to drop off the bag at the home of her former mother-in law, who investigators said is severely allergic to bell peppers, court records show.

When the children refused, one of Gregory’s friends put the bag on the victim’s car with a card that read, “You ruined my life ... Enjoy your allergic reaction,” police said.

The bag was found by the victim’s son, authorities said, but it was not the first time Gregory has been accused of stalking or trying to harm her former mother-in-law.

In April, the mother-in-law was standing in line at a Walgreens when she received a video of herself from Gregory, according to police.

Two months later, one of the children who aided in the bell pepper incident saw Gregory rub “a pink substance on the driver’s side door handle” of the victim’s car, police said./

The mother-in-law noticed the substance and tried wiping it off with a napkin, but investigators said she woke up in a hospital after suffering an allergic reaction.

Police said Gregory put her former mother-in-law “in reasonable fear of death or serious physical injury.”

She is charged with wanton endangerment, unlawful transaction with a minor and stalking, court records show.

Following her July 30 arraignment, Gregory was being held in jail on a $25,000 cash bond.
