  • One Kentucky ticket matched five white balls to win $1 million on Monday.
  • Current estimated Powerball jackpot rises to $1.3 billion for Wednesday draw.
  • This next drawing marks the 41st consecutive without a jackpot winner.

Monday night’s Powerball drawing did not produce a $1.2 billion jackpot winner, but it did give one person in Kentucky a nice consolation prize.

The numbers drawn did not match a purchased ticket for the jackpot prize, but they did match 12 tickets worth at least $1 million. One ticket was sold in Kentucky, while the others were sold in California, Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

The $1 million tickets matched all five white balls, but not the red Powerball that would have activated the jackpot. The ticket from Kentucky was sold online at kylottery.com.

Two of the tickets in Montana and North Carolina included the Power Play option, which increased the prize to $2 million.

There were also 149 winners who took home $50,000 or more with a ticket that matched four white balls and the Powerball. One was sold at a Louisville Kroger at 2440 Bardstown Road.

Another $50,000 winning ticket was sold at EG America at 101 Lexington Green Circle in Lexington. The ticket matched four white ball numbers and the Powerball in Saturday’s drawing.

The jackpot prize has now increased to an estimated $1.3 billion, which is the fifth-largest prize ever in the Powerball game. The cash value for the new jackpot is estimated at $589 million.

The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for 10:59 p.m. Wednesday. The drawings are broadcast live from the Florida Lottery studio in Tallahassee, Florida, and can be livestreamed on Powerball.com.

“Our players love these high jackpots, and with higher-than-normal Powerball sales right now, they are really engaging with this game,” Mary Harville, CEO of Kentucky Lottery, said in a news release. “We already had a Kentucky retailer sell a winning $167.3 million jackpot ticket this year so let’s have another big win with this $1.3 billion jackpot.”

Wednesday’s drawing will be the 41st drawing since someone last one the jackpot. The record for the most consecutive drawings without a jackpot winner is 42, which was set in April 2024 after someone from Oregon won a $1.326 billion prize.

The most recent jackpot winner happened on May 31. Since then there have been two $1 million tickets and seven $50,000 Powerball tickets sold in Kentucky.

If a person wins Wednesday’s jackpot prize, they will choose between an annuitized prize estimated at $1.3 billion, or a lump-sum payment estimated at $589 million.

The prize options are before taxes. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.

Powerball tickets cost $2 and are sold in 45 states, including Kentucky.
