Garrard County health clinic abruptly closes due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’
A health clinic in Garrard County has abruptly shut its doors.
Ephraim McDowell Garrard Clinic, at 405 Danville St. in Lancaster, is now permanently closed, according to the Ephraim McDowell Health website.
The permanent closure was due to “unforeseen circumstances,” according to an Oct. 15 statement from the hospital.
Patients who were seen at the Garrard Clinic can go to North Garrard Family Medical Center, at 510 Camp Dick Road North. Patients of Lauren Pingleton, APRN, and Erin Fannin, APRN, who practiced at the Danville Street location, will be seen at the North Garrard Family Medical Center, the press release said.
No other information about why the clinic was abruptly closed was immediately available Thursday afternoon.
Employees at the clinic were offered other jobs at other locations of Ephraim McDowell Health, which is headquartered in Danville and has three hospitals in Danville, Harrodsburg and Stanton. It has medical offices in multiple counties.
“Ephraim McDowell Health remains firmly committed to the residents of Garrard County,” said Lucas Brooks, the hospital’s vice president of strategic operations & analytics. “We are actively exploring future opportunities to enhance and expand services in the county.”
