One adult, two children dead after interstate wreck in Western Kentucky

One adult and two children were killed in a crash in Western Kentucky last weekend, according to Kentucky State Police.

The collision happened around 7 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, on Interstate 65 near the 53 mile-marker. State police said Aleah Kroger, 35, of Dayton, Ohio, was driving a Hyundai Santa Fe and hit a parked tractor-trailer on the right shoulder of the road.

Two juvenile passengers in the Santa Fe were pronounced dead at the scene, according to state police. Kroger was taken to a hospital but died the next day at the TriStar Skyline Medical Center.

No other information about the crash was provided. State police is investigating the wreck.
