The body of a Bell County man, who allegedly was thrown bound and gagged off a bridge and into the Cumberland River in late January, was recovered Thursday, according to Kentucky State Police.
The body of Paul Slusher, 70, of Fourmile, was found by rescue volunteers about a mile and a half down river from the bridge at Page. State police found that Slusher's home had been ransacked after they were asked to check on him on Jan. 27.
Police later arrested Joshua K. Parsons, 27, and Lora A. Amburgey, 39, of Pineville, charging them with murder, kidnapping, first-degree robbery and tampering with physical evidence. A large sum of money, firearms and other property were found in a vehicle occupied by Parsons and Amburgey and at their apartment in Pineville, according to state police.
