Sheltowee Trace trail improvements planned; volunteers needed

The Sheltowee Trace Association is seeking volunteers Saturday to perform maintenance on a section of Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail near Morehead.

The trail is in Daniel Boone National Forest.

Volunteers should expect to remove downed trees and help widen about one-fourth mile of hillside trail. Volunteers will begin work at 9 a.m. and continue until about 5 p.m.

Volunteers should meet at the Carl Perkins Community Center on Ky. 32 between Interstate 64 and U.S. 60.
