PSC to hold hearing on KU and LG&E plans to comply with environmental rules

The Kentucky Public Service Commission will hold a public hearing next week on environmental compliance plans and associated surcharge requests submitted by Kentucky Utilities Co. and Louisville Gas & Electric Co. The surcharges could ultimately cause utility rates to rise significantly in the state by 2016.
