Elderly couple die in Greenup wreck

An elderly couple were killed Saturday after sustaining injuries in a two-car crash on U.S. 23.

Greenup County sheriffs deputies were called to a wreck shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of U.S. 23 and Ky. 693.

The female driver of one of the vehicles was air-lifted to Cabell Huntington Hospital in West Virginia. An elderly couple in the second vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.

Names of the victims were not released Sunday night.
