ATV crash kills Casey County man
A Casey County man died Friday from injuries he sustained in an all-terrain vehicle wreck, according to a news release from the Fayette County coroner's office.
William Lane, 39, of Middleburg, was flown to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital after he lost control of an ATV on a gravel road. He was pronounced dead at 7:02 p.m. Friday, "moments after arrival" at the hospital, the release said.
According to the release, Lane was riding on Slate Hill Road in rural Casey County when he lost control on a curve. He went off the road and up an embankment, then crashed into a tree.
The cause of death was listed as multisystem blunt-force trauma, the release said. W.L Pruitt Funeral Home in Hustonville is handling arrangements.
