Central Kentuckians can expect a little more snow this evening, which could make for a slippery commute Tuesday morning.

“Scattered flurries and light snow showers are expected late this afternoon and evening,” the National Weather Service in Louisville said in a hazardous weather outlook Monday morning. “Minor snowfall accumulations of a dusting to half an inch are possible. Slick road conditions may occur tonight into Tuesday morning due to refreezing of melted snowfall as temperatures fall well below freezing.”

Fayette and surrounding counties, as well as part of southern Indiana, were covered by the outlook.

For the rest of the work week, the weather service said Central Kentucky can expect sunny and mostly clear skies, though temperatures will remain cold.

Daytime highs are expected to reach only into the 30s, with Wednesday, when the high is expected to hit 44, being the exception. Overnight lows will be in the 20s.
