Lexington set another record-low temperature Sunday morning when the thermometer registered only 45 degrees.

This breaks the previous Sept. 7 low of 47 degrees recorded in 2017, according to the National Weather Service in Louisville.

This is the fourth record-low recorded in Lexington in the past two weeks.

In late August, Lexington rewrote the low temperatures three days in a row. It was the first time Lexington dipped below 50 degrees on Aug. 28.

Monday could also bring another record-breaking low, according to WKYT meteorologist Chris Bailey. The expected low is 45 degrees, the record low from 1956 .

Temperatures are expected to rise throughout the week, which will bring consistent sunshine.
