An evacuation has been ordered for residents in Lebanon Junction.

The Bullitt County Emergency Management Agency said residents on Cedar Springs Drive off Old Boston Road need to leave their homes immediately after a moderate dam collapse at the Rod and Gun Club.

“This is a serious and dangerous situation,” emergency officials said. “Do not wait for conditions to worsen. Leave the area now and move to higher ground.”

Bullitt County is already in a state of emergency after crews conducted several water rescues and evacuations throughout Saturday morning.

Officials say several roads in the area are unsafe for travel and are asking residents to exercise caution.

Nearly 10 inches of rainfall have been recorded in the Bullitt County area, according to radar data. The evacuation comes as more rain is expected across the state; additional rainfall could worsen conditions in flood-prone areas.

The Bullitt County Emergency Management Agency has not released information on how many homes are affected or when residents may be allowed to return. They have shared information on what residents in the affected area should do as the situation continues on social media.
