See pictures, video showing Kentucky tornado cleanup progress after 1 month

Mayfield, Ky.
Although cleanup has begun, almost a month after deadly tornadoes tore through Mayfield, the Western Kentucky town obviously still shows sign of the devastation left behind from the storms.
Much of the county seat of Graves County looks very similar to the way it did last month after the Dec. 10 storms killed 77 statewide. Many of the cars are still there, covered in debris. Buildings are that were lined with rubble still sit waiting for their turn to hopefully be salvaged.
Streets are cleared and some buildings that were damaged are completely torn down now, mostly by private contractors.
But there is plenty still left behind, mainly personal affects: Shoes, framed pictures, toys and dishes — piles of kids bikes.
The streets are eerily quiet. In the days following the series of tornadoes, the city had something similar to rush-hour traffic. Now they are mostly empty — at 4:30 pm it’s is like a ghost town in downtown and in the adjacent neighborhood. The only people visible are contractors clearing debris.
