Homosexuality is not news
This letter questions your continuing front-page coverage of many homosexual events in and around Kentucky. I do not question the newsworthiness of the stories, but for nearly every one to appear on the front page of the Herald-Leader seems more than out-of-proportion coverage.
History reveals that homosexuality has existed for a long time. While those in the heterosexual community may have problems understanding or accepting this fact, many have resigned themselves to its quiet acceptance.
This writer does not advocate mistreating homosexuals, but questions the special rights that their community appears to seek.
It appears that the Herald-Leader seems to delight in what some would call “in your face” coverage of the activities of the homosexual community. With the estimated homosexual population being at less than 10 percent, this seems to be more than out of proportion.
