I completely agree with a recent letter to name the new Lexington high school after Robert Sexton. I am a retired principal from Harlan County High School. I worked with Sexton in the early 1990s after the first legal action to bring reform to Kentucky schools. He presided over many hearings at Shakertown and was a driving force behind bringing quality education to Kentucky students. He was a peacemaker and negotiator, but above all a caring citizen of Kentucky.
I think this is an outstanding choice and worthy of consideration.
