Reject demagogue Trump

You may have noticed that since Donald Trump’s most recent campaign staff changes, he has taken to reading his “speeches” from teleprompters. Arguably, Trump looks and sounds a little more presidential. But, looking and sounding presidential does not make one presidential.

Behavioral scientists caution that a person’s past behavior is the best predictor of a person’s future behavior. Trump has not changed. His life story and public records reveal that he has been, and continues to be, self-serving, a man with questionable ethics who has never spent a day in government or public service.

“Low-information” voters still have an opportunity for reflection and redemption. We must reject the demagogue who is Trump.

Consider the party of Lincoln, Roosevelt, Reagan and Trump. One of these names is clearly incongruous. It’s always the right time to do the next right thing, as described by the opportunity Americans have this election day.
