‘Smart’ to go offshore
Donald Trump has said he is just being “smart” in avoiding paying taxes. He also indicated it’s called “business” when he took advantage of the housing crisis and used the laws to benefit from his business bankruptcies.
Why would he be so critical of those businesses which move out of the country to avoid taxes or to escape regulation and higher wages? Isn’t this just “good” business practice on the part of these companies as well?
I didn’t go to Wharton. How could he object to these practices?
