Iran swap a good deal
A recent letter writer stated that Andy Barr was correct in opposition to the Obama-Kerry agreement to return $400 billion to Iran in exchange for getting American prisoners home. Of course the writer failed to mention that the $400 billion was actually the Iranians’ money that the U.S. was holding, coming from an arms deal with Iran that Ronald Reagan worked out during his presidency. Sounds like exchanging captive Americans with cash that is not even ours to begin with was a pretty good deal. As far as the other accusations mentioned by the writer, no doubt debatable based upon what cable news channel you watch.
