Vote for compassion

I witnessed a wondrous event Oct. 9, during the second presidential debate. I watched a man reveal in stunning bluntness his suffering.

Donald Trump laid bare his fear, his hatred and his delusion. A strong America is not a white, again, America. America moves forward in its black, brown and white humanity.

Mary was not white, Joseph was not white, Jesus was not white. God and goddess are the colors of water, sky, mountains and forest.

America suffers as its white corporate leaders continue to move jobs to cheap labor markets. Our white political leaders brought us NAFTA, the war on drugs and other demeaning wars. I don’t want a candidate in a tailor-made suit of fear, hatred and delusion.

We must begin our journey of compassion. We must vote for the candidate who can more readily touch compassion. America is great ... in all its color.
