Barr’s empty rhetoric

Rep. Andy Barr’s campaign pronouncements — “President Obama believes the government should be in charge of your health care,” “his flawed ideology,” “orchestrating a vast expansion of government to increase its control over nearly every aspect of our economy,” “Obama’s war on coal” — are all empty rhetoric hoping to garner votes.

Consider for a moment the Environmental Protection Agency, first proposed by President Richard Nixon in 1970 with the enactment of the Clean Air Act. The EPA began in 2011 to deal with greenhouse gases.

Barr has yet to reply to my request for details on his proposals to modify the EPA and the resultant impact on pollution of air and water or for that matter the resultant increase of mining jobs.

In the same period I have received two or three requests for donations to his campaign. A good friend told me that only donors receive responses from politicians.
