Barr not an adult

Rep. Andy Barr hates regulating business, but not government. He’s voted to regulate the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Federal Communications Commission and more.

He voted to force the EPA to omit the social, health and property damage caused by higher carbon emissions. Why should the social consequences or costs of business actions affect business practices, right?

Barr even supported congressional approval for any new government regulation. A failure to vote on a new regulation in 70 days would mean the regulation couldn’t be enacted.

Meanwhile, his re-election campaign isn’t about improving the lives of Kentuckians, but about his plan to change the word “terrorist” to “Islamic terrorist.”

It is a campaign of distractions to avoid his broader failures to deal with the real social problems facing his constituents.

Kentucky needs a real adult in Washington. Let’s replace Barr with Nancy Jo Kemper.
