Right ruling on wage hike

Congratulations to the Kentucky Supreme Court for its outstanding ruling regarding the minimum-wage issue. With this ruling, it has saved thousands of jobs for the people and protected consumers against cost of living increases.

The foolish idea of local governments making financial decisions which negatively impact small businesses is fraught with increased costs, higher unemployment and more government regulations. This good decision is a victory for average citizens.

Government creates nothing but economic retardation and higher taxes, never jobs. The entire wage issue is founded on liberal schemes which restrict capitalism and limit market forces.

Economist Adam Smith wrote about the freedom and power of free markets, not about the beauty of government. Liberals, with their redistribution-of-wealth myopia, have injured the middle class far more than private-sector competition could ever do.

Irresponsible liberal politicians should be ashamed for using taxpayers, consumers and workers in dabbling in economic failures. The free markets produce wealth; politicians produce manure. Local politicians should stick with potholes and public safety; they don’t even do that well.
