My misguided demographic
Well, I suppose I’m to blame. I was born and raised in the Rust Belt. I’m white. I’m male. I’m old.
My DNA analysis would probably read, 99 percent Northern European, 1 percent Neanderthal.
So it was my demographic that replaced our president — a truly decent human being — with a race-baiting, lying, woman-abusing bully who thinks it’s just fine to cheat his workers out of their pay or defraud students in his fake university with the promise of a business education.
It was my tribe that chose to turn its back on the environment, gender equality and a woman’s right to choose what she does with her own body. That should come as no surprise since he announced he could do whatever he wanted with her body anyway.
What this country really needs, according to my demographic, is a leader it can follow blindly, one with whom it can chant slogans against scapegoats, raising its fists in rage. Early on, he said that rounding up these scapegoats and putting them into camps might be a good idea.
Oh wait, my demographic — and I don’t blame the Neanderthal fraction — has tried this before.
