We’ve seen this election before

I have seen the letter to the editor stating “the nation has spoken” and that I should just give up and accept Donald Trump. I also hear the same thing at work from his supporters.

My response is: Yes, the nation has spoken and Hillary Clinton won the popular vote.

This election is eerily similar to 2000 when the Democrat won the popular vote but the Electoral College (and the Supreme Court) awarded the presidency to the Republican.

And we all saw how well that turned out.
