Thanks for series

Congratulations to the Chicago Cubs and its massive fan base on winning the World Series. Raised as an Indians fan, I admit that it hurt a bit to see Cleveland go down in game seven, but what a fantastic series it was!

Above all, we witnessed sportsmanship in its purest sense. What wonderful role models the men from both teams are. Players from both teams had a look of “I can’t believe we’re here,” on their faces throughout the seven games. It was so refreshing to see them appreciate the fans, the game and this wonderful country that gives them the opportunity to play professional baseball.

Perhaps I missed something but I didn’t see any player “take a knee” as the National Anthem was played. Perhaps the NFL and the NBA should take note.
