Bevin inconsistent on guns, abortion
It was interesting to read Gov. Matt Bevin’s comments on gun violence. He would be a wise man if he also approached abortion with the same mindset.
“You have a cultural problem, you have a spiritual problem, you have an economic problem. That’s what you have, period,” he said. “People who want to pretend it’s something that can be legislated, some more government rules are going to fix this, are delusional. We don’t need more government rules to fix this. We need to address the root causes of this.”
It is ironic that he feels that there is no need for government intrusion with gun violence, but there is a need for government intrusion in women’s personal health-care decisions.
