Kentucky Hoops, Hoops hurray
De’Aaron Fox was not the second player in University of Kentucky history to score a triple double, an achievement that was disputed because of a questionable assist but upheld by the NCAA.
UK Hoops player Makayla Epps scored one last year against Morehead State. Leslie Nichols scored one against Louisville in 1986.
Also, Dan Issel is not the leading scorer in UK history. That honor belongs to Valerie Still.
UK Hoops consistently wins 20-plus games a year and moves into the elite eight in the NCAA Tournament most years. Home crowds run 4,500 to 6,000.
Also, note that this year’s Hoops team (not the UK “ladies”) has scored 467 points, of which 259 (55.4 percent) have been scored by players from Kentucky high schools. This has never been the case for a Calipari team.
Try to be a little more fair in your coverage. These are student athletes who represent us well.
