Trump supporters can’t have it both ways

They can’t have both ways.

They can’t deny President Barack Obama his judicial appointments and obstruct everything he did, say their only job was to prevent him from having another term, and then say, “Trump’s your president, just get over it.”

They called Obama a liar. They questioned his birth, his religion, his honor, his patriotism and his citizenship. There was no lie too shameful to spread about him. They blamed him for the Great Recession, which they caused. They said he was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, and that he hated America. They called him an ape, and posted pictures of him as a witch doctor with a bone in his nose. They burned him in effigy. They called his children hateful names. They mocked his wife, criticizing everything from her clothes to her stature. They broke our government and blamed him.

They decided compromise was out of the question. They decided Obama was not their president.

Now they say, “Trump’s your president, get over it.”

Life doesn’t work that way. Herr Trumpenfehurer is not now, nor will he ever be my president.

If you say that’s not American, I say you reap what you sow.
