End disrespect of national anthem
I am the blessed mother of 10 daughters and five sons. My sons all played football in high school and enjoyed it, and my husband and I faithfully attended their games.
It would never have occurred to my sons to not stand for the singing of the national anthem. And believe me, if it had, they wouldn’t have played any sports at all.
I am appalled at the example of the pro ballplayers for making millions of dollars from we American citizens. Appalled at their rudeness and their defiance of the national anthem.
If I were the coach, I would immediately give them two options: Continue making millions and play and stand in respect of the anthem, or pack your bags and leave and never play on another team.
We are so blessed to live in this country. I know it has its faults and problems but we are the most privileged people on this Earth. Let’s be done with this foolishness and disrespect and stand united on this issue.
