Bevin, voters should reject Couch

I’m appalled that Rep. Tim Couch would post racist, homophobic and disrespectful fake news about President Barack Obama and his family.

People can disagree on policies and the actions that our leaders take, but we should not disrespect the person or the office. I didn’t agree with President George W. Bush very much, but I still respected him as our president.

Couch crossed the line by passing along personal attacks that are in extremely poor taste that have no place in our government. I call on Gov. Matt Bevin and the rest of our state governmental leaders to completely disavow and condemn Couch. To not do so would make them complicit in the offense.

Hopefully, the voters of Kentucky’s 90th House District will have the gumption to also reject Couch’s behavior at the ballot box at the next election. Better yet, consider a recall.
